MY RETIREMENT YOUR

OPPORTUNITY

Yes, I'm retiring. Cota Street Antiques has been a fun, exciting and profitable business these last ten years. But, at age 77, I'm ready to move on. I will either find a new owner or close during the Spring of 2025.
If you are interested in opening an antique importing business read on...
Cota Street Antiques originated with the opening of Rick's Wholesale Antiques in Snohomish, Washington in 1984. During the 1990s I purchased containers of antique furniture from Ricks for the Centralia Antique Market. Rick ultimately relocated his business to Lafayette, Oregon. In 2009, I took over the operations of Rick's Antiques. In 2015, I moved the business to Shelton, Washington where we have operated under the name Cota Street Antiques.

Over the years annual sales for the business have fluctuated from over a million dollars when it was open seven days to the current $200,000 open only fourteen hours a week.

Current business conditions are very positive. Shipping costs are at pre Covid levels. And because many businesses closed during Covid, inventory is readily available in England and there is little competition here at home. Best of all, there is a growing base of customers wanting real wood, hand crafted vintage and antique furniture.

This is a business for someone or a couple who has lots of energy and enjoys a challenging and varied routine;... purchasing furniture, warehousing, arranging shipping, pricing, cleaning and repairing, advertising, coordinating staff, making deliveries... the list goes on.

If this opportunity tweaks uour interest, feel free to visit our store any Friday or Saturday and we can discuss further. I can say that if I were a few decades younger, this is the business I would want to jump into.
